All they need to do in a sequel is introduce a few new characters and enemies, then combine it with their trademark gripping storyline, and they’ll have another sure fire winner on their hands.
Just what do you want from Naughty Dog? Blood? They’ve created one of the best games ever made but you all still want to have a good moan about it? You don’t want them to make a sequel either? Well personally I’d love to see a sequel, the game sold shed loads of copies, and Naughty Dog took a huge risk releasing a new IP, so they deserve to reap the rewards of their success. It’s no good, I can’t restrain myself any more, I need to respond to the negative letters printed here recently about The Last of Us, Badgerman’s being the last straw. PS: Recently completed Ni No Kuni, at last, and now depressed by the lack of colour and familiars in the real world. Any other games people feel the same about? Wanting the sequel but knowing they shouldn’t? So yeah, really want sequels to both these games, yet know it wouldn’t be good for the overall experience. Not since Red Dead Redemption have I felt that way really, loved that game like a brother and even though it ended with which would’ve been a great continuing game, that felt just enough to finish it. Nevertheless I wouldn’t change it and yeah, a sequel would just remove the impact of the first game. Maybe not ‘more final’, but just to see what happens to them after… Usually I pine for a follow-up to titles I’ve massively enjoyed, and finding myself being tortured because I wanted a more final ending to The Last Of Us – whilst at the same feeling that it was just right, was a weird feeling. I love sequels of great games and yet have to echo Badgerman, which amazes me. We don’t recall whether Ieyasu was in it, but he definitely appears in Total War: Shogun 2. GC: Civilization Revolution? We haven’t played it in years but it was pretty good at the time. Who I’ve always had an interest in, did GC review it when it came out? If so is the PlayStation 3 version worth a punt? Also, Total War: Rome II looks pretty awesome. The closest I can find to what I’m after is the console version of Sid Meier’s Civilization, apparently it has the option to take over the world as shogun Ieyasu.
